I am looking for self-motivated and hardworking students to perform research with me in computer systems, specifically in operating systems and data storage systems.
Requirements
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science including following courses in transcript: Programming Languages (C, C++, Java, Python), Data Structures, Discrete Math, System Programming (preferable in UNIX), Computer Organization, Operating Systems, Algorithms, Computer Architecture, Database Systems, Automata Theory, etc.
Strong knowledge of Operating Systems, Algorithms, and Data Structures.
Solid programming background in C.
Working knowledge of Linux and Python.
Undergraduate GPA ≥ 3.25 (using a 4.00 scale).
GRE score of Quantitative ≥ 165, Verbal ≥ 140, and Analytical Writing ≥ 3.5
For international students: TOEFL (≥ 80 IBT or 550 PBT or 213 CBT) or IELTS (≥ 6.5)

In addition to possible Research Assistantship (RA) opportunities at Computer Systems Laboratory, the University of Louisville and the Computer Science and Engineering Department provide various Fellowship and Teaching Assistantship (TA) opportunities covering tuition, fees, stipend ($22,000 per year), and health insurance.
